I Don’t Have Time to Workout! A Legitamate Excuse?

One of the most common complaints from or weight loss clients and listeners is that they don’t have time to exercise.  Many times this is nothing more than an excuse, but sometimes it’s a legitimate complaint.  After all, our lives are complicated and we are crazy-busy today, more than at any other time in history!

With so much going on in life, it seems like we don’t have a moment to breathe, much less 30-45 minutes to hit the gym!

Today I’m going to share a little tip that will change the way you view your “time deficit”.

First, think about a typical day in your life.  What time do you manage to drag yourself out of bed?  How much time do you spend showering, getting dressed, eating, traveling to and from work, feeding and getting your family ready for the day, and anything else you may do in a typically day?

Now consider how many of those activities take longer than they really need to simply because you often feel like you’re dragging yourself through the day?

If your energy and stamina are dragging, then you can bet that your productivity is also in the pits.  Maybe you have difficulty focusing, so you’re always getting sidetracked or distracted by “shiny objects”.

Maybe you have to stop and rest when doing vigorous chores and so they end up taking much longer than they would if you were fit and full of energy.

If you’re honest with yourself, you might realize that being fit and healthy would actually make it seem like you have MORE time, not less. You’ll get more done, and you’re much more likely to do it all with a smile!

What if you could breeze through your yard work or housework in half the time it normally takes?  What if you could take your kids to their after school activities without having to visit the local Starbucks along the way because you can’t keep your eyes open?

As promised, here’s the tip…if you would MAKE time to exercise each day, you would have a LOT more energy to perform your other activities faster and with ease!

It’s true! I promise, this is NO EXAGGERATION! Try it for a month and see for yourself.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised to realize that taking that 30 or 40 minutes for exercise doesn’t stand in your way of achieving your goals for the day – in fact you’ll get more done with time to spare!
